Maritime Transport Forum: Reality and Aspirations Discusses Obstacles Facing the Sector andInvestment Opportunities
Asharqia Chamber Holds the Event under the Auspices of His Excellency President of Saudi Ports Authority
Maritime Transport Forum: Reality and Aspirations, held by Asharqia Chamber at the end of Novemberand underthe auspices of His ExcellencyEng. AbdulAziz bin Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri,President of Saudi Ports Authority, will discuss two main aspects which are:
(Maritime transport obstacles and proposed solutions) and (Investment in maritime transport).
Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Rashid, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, explained thatexperts and specialists in the field will review, during the Forum which will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2012 at the Chamber in Dammam, topics important to the sector as well as its reality and aspirations .
Al Rashid pointed out that the Forum which will be held over one day includes two sessions during which 6 important working papers will be presented discussing reality of the sector and challenges facing it in addition to proposals for the development of it.
He said that officials fromMaritime Transport Committee,Restrictions Department of Saudi Customs, andKing Abdul Aziz Port at Dammam will be speaking on the first aspect.
As for the second aspect, executives from maritime transport related parties including Saudi National Marine Transport Co., Chemical supplies chain in SABIC,and GCCEconomic Affairs will speak on it.
Al Rashid mentioned that the Forum schedule includes a meeting with His Excellency the President of Saudi Ports Authority Engineer Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, about the problems of maritime transport and ways to develop it.
